First day of Kindergarten-(just a bit out of order- I'm just happy I finally got them to load:)9/5/2019 Last hear it was H is for "horse's head" but since the heads were misplaced, this year it is M is for mask- and then Mrs. Lenting joined in - very amusing:) We wrapped up our study of the five senses by digging around in a couple of pumpkins:) We used all 5 of our senses; we touched the pumpkin, smelled the pumpkin, saw the pumpkin, heard the squish of our fingers inside the pumpkin and then tasted the seeds after I brought them home and cooked them. The kids were surprisingly eager to stick their hands in and dig out the seeds and then to taste them the next day- most of the kids liked them:)
H is for hats, horses heads, and “hatchimals”( which I had never heard of:) much hilarity ensued when Mrs. B and I startled the kids by walking in with our “H” headgear:) a previous student shared her hatchimal with us for the day - thank you M- and the kids enjoyed figuring out how it worked and everyone wore their hats - once again the number of Sox hats outnumbered the Cubs hats- to my delight it was a very fun day full of words that start with “H” |
